I have recently been disappointed with powrtouch. My mover is still under warranty but we have been waiting 6 weeks for a repair and have chased them with no reply. I also have a problem with the turning circle not being what it used to be but they are not interested. I used to recommend them to friends but not any more ! I wish I had gone with another make.

I have to say, that initially when I reported a fault, they didn't have a replacement part in stock. I waited about a week and phoned them again.I was due to go away within a few days and needed the working mover to get the van out from its storage area at home. I explained this and they moved heaven and earth to get me sorted. Which they did.

When you say that you have chased them, have you telephoned or emailed? It's just the bit that says 'with no reply' that sounds like you have emailed. If so, try phoning them and explaining your frustration. If you have already phoned them several times and still no response, then that isn't very good at all on their part.

I hope you get it all sorted. They are still very good products. Also, I would get the engineer to look into the turning circle issue when he comes to do the other repair.

Sorry it was phoning and speaking to them that has had no reply. I know they may be busy but a phone call to let me know would be good. The mover is an all wheel drive twin axle and the turning circle is worse than a 2 wheel drive on a friends caravan. this has been reported several times without them taking it seriously.

Exactly the problem I had. It turned out that one of the rollers (offside rear) wasn't engaging (touching the tyre). I hadn't even noticed this!

New actuator and roller motor and it's back to turning on a sixpence.  It had wrecked the tyre on that corner though, through scrubbing on concrete etc.

Hope you get sorted.

Kev.

The problems with mine started when they came to fix it about 2 years ago and fitted a new style control box, before i had two seperate control boxes and they changed it for the single new control box, since then the turning circle is rubbish and they will not acknowledge the problem.

This is the third twin axle motor mover I have had so I know what they should and shouldn't be able to do, the man on the phone at powertouch seems useless and does not even understand the term " turning circle ". My turning circle is not far off a straight line. Two years ago I could get it off my drive in one and now its about a ten point turn!

I am very surprised about the service you have received, I have only had excellent service.
This year I Emailed them from France when one of the wires in the control box broke. I received a reply within 2 hrs telling me to send them the control box. I did this and it was returned in 10 days free of charge completely mended.

My mover is 6 years old and therefore out of warranty.

Can only concur. Used to have an old power touch bought it direct when they were made in uk and it was good. Recently all I hear from fellow caravanners is that they are made in china and assembled in England which isn't quite the same? It's a shame to cheapen such a well known name.
