A storm strap is a storm strap ... pretty well all are fairly basic ... so not much difference.
One thing many people do incorrectly is to put the anchoring pegs in the wrong way round ... it may appear to be illogical, but ensure the hook is on the awning side of the peg, despite the fact that the peg is at an angle leaning away from the awning ... hope that makes sense ... it should when you have the kit!
Also, make sure the strap goes as near (or over) the knuckles where the poles join, and not over unsupported sections of the overhead poles.
To stop wind-flapping, make up a buffer to wrap round the strap at a couple of points mid way between the outer and centre overhead poles ... can be cloth or cardboard or anything really.

Depends on the age of your awning and if it has fixings for storm straps built in. If you have the fixings you don't need the long freestanding storm strap but two individual ones that clip to the fixings each side.

Isabella storm straps don't go over the roof of the awning like some others do, they wrap around the front/side fixings and then anchor inside the awning. You buy them individually but Isabella recommend one for each side of the awning.

I believe that Isabella don't recommend traditional storm straps on their awnings because they can potentially chafe the roof fabric.

We've owned some, but always preferred the Isabella Typhoon Storm sashes (come in pack of x 3) with Delta Pegs. Just make sure you tie them around the entire front joint, and never to the stub canopy poles.

Reviving this topic...thank you lidds0...we have opted for the typhoon straps as we have already got the delta pegs and found them a godsend when in high winds when we camped....and it is cheaper than 2 storm straps..
