I have two of these, and find them ok. I use them because they are suitable for gel cell batteries that I use in my other hobbies.

In the vid it states its ok with batteries up to 120a/h so ok for anything used for camping/caravanning.

Aldi have one too which I got yesterday which seems pretty good and has a nice lcd display

Both the Lidl and Aldi chargers work well and are excellent value for money. The only problem, if it is a problem, is that they won't recharge a very flat battery, as they seem to require a minimum voltage to actually start - this will never happen if you are on EHU.

I have one of these and find it very good , I like the pulse mode for deep charging my 110amp leisure battery and at the price a bargain

I bought one from aldi yesterday, being a complete caravan beginner, I know absolutely nothing. Could anyone please give me a few pointers about battery maintainance, and how to use one of these chargers. It has to be idiot proof though

Our caravan will be in storage over winter so do I bring the battery home?

I am sure I read in the instructions you can override this and force a pulse charge for deep discharged batteries

The main reason it doesn't do it automatically is because it cannot tell if if 7volts is a 6volt battery or a 12 volt battery due to their operating environments or something similar

i just noticed that Lidl are selling these chargers again from tomorrow for a while, if anyones interested.....

I have had the LIDL charger for a few years, it's very good except as previously stated it will not charge if the battery is below 7 volts.

To overcome this just charge the battery for a few minutes with a standard charger to raise the voltage.

I think you will find it will charge a flat battery but only if the battery has not been left flat for a very long time. The above link to the instructions state this can be done.
