They always are having a sale, bit like DFS. The little sale catalogues you get at the stores or through the post. It just depends what you want . Aldi and lidl have folding camp cupboards only £25.
Failing that have you thought about the plastic sliding shelves for no more than £15. Pack them at home put them in the car, get them out the other end, voila!

I agree, every week they send me a sale email for something or other, just have to join their mailing list and keep an eye out.

Do they usually have a January sale and would camping gear be included as not in season then?

Arcadia..I notice you are from Edinburgh, I live in Fife and have become used to being excluded from a lot of special deals in the sale etc.
All stores in Scotland can be excluded from certain deals and not just stores, buying online for delivery as well.
I have looked at around half a dozen items on offer this year and only managed to get one which was available online for delivery, the rest were England only. They have been expensive items like Rab Jackets over £100 etc..

yer i get a sale letter in the post for all the great bargins.. when you go to the store. o sorry we don't have those items in stock, but you can have this one at a higher price.
Weve also noticed a lot of items in their sales are for in store collection only then when the sale ends the items are available for home delivery

The main problem with the GO outdoors price match is that it needs competition to match. I know its called business but soon the smaller shops will cease to be.
GO and decathlon have recently opened in warrington, the smaller but more expensive shop literally across the road from Decathlon has had to shut directly as a result., had been there for years.
Without the GO 'discount card' gimic their retail prices would be laughable.

I said the same thing as "lescargo" on a post earlier this year and it didnt go down to well with GO lovers. Plus Hi Gear stuff is their own brand so no price match on that

Probably the best deals at go outdoors are the 50% off retail price vouchers, off the hi gear stuff. But again you have to really look at the prices and think to yourself if its really worth it before you buy.
The first time I got a voucher, I thought brilliant and went a bit mad. After that I realised some things were not really worth bothering with.
Saying that-one day I will get a pair of kentucky chairs with a 50% voucher. (probably the day we give up camping)
