Hi  Penguin.  I can,t help you with 12v make of  tv.,but i would advise if you have mains sockets ,to go for a 230 v tv. Although lights ect will last a while on battery, 12 v tv can be quite a drain on a battery,but that all depends on how much tv you plan to watch and how long your breaks are for.That is unless you have an on board charger from the mains ,in which case you would be on hook up and may as well have a mains tv.

thanks guys....we are always on mains and use a normal telly but the new van hasnt got a plug socket near to where we want the telly only the 12v thing so was thinking about a 12v telly....tried using an adapter on the telly but couldnt hear the telly due to the noise of the fan from adapter.

If you use a domestic 12v tv and cconnect it to your vans 12v supply you should buy a regulated 12v adapter as your van could be putting up to 14.2v out depending on the charger and battery condition.
