My mate Teresa (lives with her Mum) has one and its made her cooker at home redundant - she uses her's all the time - has a camper van and when she goes camping Mum finds life very difficult without it.
Further to my earlier post, if anyone wishes to order a standard size Remoska you can e-mail Milena Grenfell-Baines at milena@philfriends.demon.co.uk. She says a whole chicken can be roasted in the smaller standard size!!

Happy to help - we were desperate for the standard size as well - one sold on eBay for £89 used!
Wouldn't swop the Cobb for camping...but I am interested in all the talk about the Remoska! Might get one for home...such a drag to clean the cooker so this would be perfect ;)

Hi queeny, you won't regret getting a remoska for home - I stayed with my sister inlaw recently and she introduced me - I stayed a week, and except for breakfast eggs, we only used her remoska all week -- stew and mashed, lovely fish in foil with mixed veg, big fat pork chops with jackets and veg, I was totally converted, can't wait to lay my hands on one!
and its nearly easter....................................
Sounds exactly what I need...I am very busy and if I dont get a casserole etc in the oven before kids get home from school...they have to wait til 6pm for their meal ;( I dont like having main cooker on so this might be a good compromise!

Hi Queeny ......... it cuts down on cooking times and pre heating ............ I put frozen pies in it cold and it 20/25mins they are over 70 odd degrees .... and the pastry is perfect ..... frozen garlic bread all ready to eat in 10 mins and you don't have to hover over it
Wow that sounds perfect. I am gonna have to get one...must seek out the cheapest now...once again this list is helping me part with my hard earned cash ;)

Lakeland claim they are the only suppliers in Uk ....... but have seen them on ebay lately - and they are selling for more than Lakelands and have p&p added, where as Lakeland is postage free
I think Lakeland are the only suppliers in teh UK (they've recently expanded into N. America - which may exlain why they only make the large size now!). The ones I've seen on E bay claim to either be unwanted gifts/rash purchases or hardly used, and they're the smaller size. I think this may be why they are going for so much -'cos you can't buy them brand new anymore.
Have not been keeping up with the Remoska chat --- its August now,and ad everyone noticed that Lakeland now have the Standard size ( and all accessories) in stock again!.
Guess you ptrobably alreasy knew, but had to put my oar in. Happy camping!
We had a problem with our standard Remoska, which was a gift for my wife, when we were at Oxford CCC site. It was only 8 months old and under guarantee. Discovered Lakeland in the city and explained our problem. "Bring it back and we'll exchange it", was the reply which we did the following day. We actually paid the difference for the larger model and would not be without it, even at home.
