but seriously there really is not such a thing as a good 12v heater.it's all about volts and wattage,you can not run much wattage from 12v for very long,without a way of recharging.

Correct Best idea is to think of something else to heat your tent.

nope, even a little ceramic 150W dash heater is pulling over 10A, not gonna do much fer your battery.

Gas HEATERS are ok for during the day, night time, no, a good sleeping bag, liner etc is the way to go for that.
