A really big thank you to everyone who has advised on my "dilemma" with the tables versus camp kitchen. I'm going to get a couple of tables to start with and then have a really good nosey to see what everyone else has. Thanks also for all good wishes and the very warm welcome to this forum. It has been so helpful
I got the blue argos folding kitchen unit. It's a single unit with a windshield, which is so useful I don't know how I ever did without a windshield before. I hate the colour of it and I wish they did it in a more muted black or green rather than bright blue! I use it with another table to one side as a 'worktop'.
As our kitchen unit, we have a Outwell Richmond Kitchen as the main kitchen unit, if we take the awning (which means we go away at least 5 days) we need more so take the Outwell Domingo and Halifax L table. We got these so that we can keep everything closed up when not in use and away from our 2 year old.
Ha ha mucker, you are right though. Everyone loves a bit of envy.
I use a table and single burner for weekends, but have a nice outwell, large fold up kitchen for longer stays and double burner. Its great to have a proper kitchen, although squirrels have broken the zip on mine so it needs repairing:( Also I bought an eazi chef last last year, so not sure how this will fit in with our set up yet. Theres always more stuff that I'm sure I really really need, lol
(If this shows an error just type in greenhouse staging in the search box! 4 tier for £13.99)
and cover it with a cover from the £ shop. My siutcase stoves go on top, pots/pans and cutlery go on a shelf then the other 2 are used for food storage (some in boxes with fitted lids), washing up stuff etc. I had the big all singing, all dancing kitchen but sold it on as I just couldn't get on with it!
daveslisa.
probably the cheapest shelf unit around and will break down small...
a slightly different size unit would be the tiny 'greenhouse they do... you get a see through zip cover with that...
nice one...
One of the best camping purchases was my Royal camping kitchen with storage. Researched something that would fit in the side extension.
Here it is in use:
And here's the stock photo:
Cost around £48 last year, has adjustable legs, and is pretty secure.
