We have the 16in version of this and it's great. V good service from the seller - we were fortunate enough to combine fetching it with a weekend at Teversal!

i guess your choices are only limited by how much you want to spend, in our pre-caravan days we made do one like this , only had a 4.3" screen but was t.v with freeview and digital radio all in one unit

August DTV410 4.3'' Pocket Digital Freeview TV and Digital Radio (Rechargeable)under 70 quid on ebay, worked alright, did what it was supposed to, mind you there was only me and the OH, so size wasn't important really, just as long as she could watch her soaps..

on the other hand you may want to spend a bit more in which case, something like this from towsure may be up your street

Avtex W163DR 16in Widescreen TV/DVD

all singing and dancing ,16" screen, freeview with built in dvd player, dual voltage and under 300quid (just)

the towsure one is very similar the the one we have now in our caravan

Going of your description, you only need a system for use within the UK, go for a 50cm Dish, and maybe a FreeSat satellite receiver, we use a FreeSat Plus box, so that we can watch recorded programs if there is no or bad line of sight to the satellite.

A neat dish is the Arcon Sweaty another alternative is a flat antenna like the Attisat FL500 but both are costly compared to a decent aluminum solid offset dish.

Avoid using a Sky dish or mesh dish if you can, they are not really intended for mobile use, and can easily pick up dings etc.

Maplin sell a folding dish kit c/w Tripod and LNB for around £40 it has had good reports on here.

edit = linky

Is live tv critical? You could go for a tablet/laptop with mobile Internet and pre download programs. This would then eliminate the need for a dish, you could keep upto date with news etc and if the Internet connection is good enough watch some programs live on line.

We bought a TV from Currys and took out their extended 3 year warranty. We were away last month and the TV stopped working, there was no problem getting a replacement at a local Currys store. We had no paperwork but are on their system so were given a brand new TV. It is good to know that it does not matter where we are in the UK we can get a replacement in the event of a problem.

We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.
