My local camping shop which is not part of any major chain sells lots of them, I guess if they are that popular any local camping/caravan shop should stock.

Don't be ashamed about taking a tv! Last year, after years of camping without, we took one, mainly because we was away for Whitsun week, without tv, and really felt we missed out on all the Jubilee celebrations, so when we were due to be away for the Olympics, for two weeks, we took a small flat screen with digital aerial. And was so glad we did. We was still out and about every day, but had some great evenings in the tent watching the days events. One of my best memories from last year camping is 8 of us (we camped with another family) in our tent watching the opening ceremony, and was so pleased the kids didn't miss out on seeing it.
Just to add, we were on a very quiet camp site, (think everyone must have put off their summer holidays due to the Olympics!) And always had the tv sound as low as possible.

Yes, when i enquired they said to make sure you have a long enough coaxial lead to plug into tv and then into aerial, and yes the 6ft pole mast is extra, but many of the people I have spoken to, have improvised and used an old tent pole.
