We have bought a Dorema awning for our caravan which we have not tried out yet. Before we go for our first visit this year we want to buy an inner tent so that we have an extra sleeping space in the awning. I am new to caravanning and awnings so want to be sure I buy the right thing. If I buy a Quest Traveller 2 berth inner tent will that be OK for my Dorema awning?
We have a two berth awning inner tent that is sometimes used but thinking of one of those two berth pop up dome tents for use in the awning, packs away easy into its own carry bag.
Most awning inner tents have adjustable hanging straps. Just make sure the one you're interested in has, and that the pole clips suit the diameter of your awning poles (you can always replace them, if they don't).
The Isabella inner tent is the best one we've come across. Just big enough for a Coleman Comfort airbed (a bit on the snug side, but it does fit), it's a good quality inner (polycotton, not breathable polyester like some of the cheaper ones) and the straps and clips are better than most.
I have a Dorema Awning and can get a 3 man Universal Inner in it - we now have the annexe but didn't have to begin with. This will take an Intex Queensize double height airbed (just!). We put our airbed in with the foot at the opening end so I can shuffle out without waking DH if I need to get out in the night.
We also have a few of these pop up tents and we are going to ues them as inner tents. I think we will be able to all the awning durning the day and then pop up the tent's at night in side the awning. If we are going to the beach for the day we also bring the pop up tent and use it as a beach shelter. Handy for keeping all the food and towels and clothes in while at the beach.
