This is the door bin on our newly acquired Fleetwood 530-3. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to accept Tesco bags! Does anyone know how I'm supposed to use it please?
Thanks
John
BTW I just fitted the Omnistep in the picture: what a nice change from humping the double step through the doorway and scratching the furniture at the same time!

Four csk 8mm bolts through the floor. I made some 16g stainless steel spreader plates about 30mm square, otherwise the bolts would have gone straight through the floor when tightened up! One hour+ to fit. The step retracts flush with the 'van sides and clicks into place. Bought it here:

http://campingequipmentshop.co.uk/index.php/omnistor-omni-step-step-manual-slide-out-400-307564/p_625.html

An electric version is available but it is silly money. This one pulls out with no effort at all.

Buy some of the perfumed bin bags on a roll from the pound shop, they do two jobs in one with keeping the bin smelling sweet from scraps of strong smelling foods.

I love the look of your step, but i would need a wider double version like we have seen on some motorhomes as im not so steady on my feet, especially when having to exit in a reverse fashion lol!

That looks more like a magazine rack than a bin. We have the normal type bin with a lid in the door of our Sterling Europa, but it is too long for a supermarket bag so we find that after a few things have been put in the bin, the bag falls out and I have to pick all the rubbish up off the floor! I love good design. I'm going to give up with it and go back to having a bin in the awning.

The perfumed ones from the pound shops come in two sizes - small pedal bin ones and a longer one for swing bins.  Might be worth a look before you give up on your existing bin.

Great step, rubbish looking bin!

The bin doesn't look deep enough to hold anything other than papers. Is that photo deceptive?

I used to have a Fleetwood. I think you will find that it is a magazine rack.

I just realised I don't need another magazine rack: I have two already!

New bucket bin for the door: even the colour matches OK.
Almost ready for Portugal!

Angela.
To be quite honest I can't remember. I just lifted it from the sink cupboard in the house! They are quite popular, so perhaps someone on here can suggest a source?
