I'm looking to buy a good quality 6 berth family tent. The choice is endless, so i wonder if anyone could give me some advice?
I like the idea of polycotton however i am totally open to suggestions. There are a few tents that have caught my eye so far. The Outwell Montana 6P & Montana Lake 6. Outwell Yukon River 6 and finally the Kampa Filey 6 classic. How do these 4 tents compare and given the choice what would people go for?
Filey 6 classic..... wonderful tent.... BUT...... discontinued..... running out fast...... Bargain prices..... no time to dilly dally..... why are you still here?.....go...... go, I say.....
Jump in quick if you want the Filey Classic its got to be the bargain of 2012 at the price its selling for now or even the Kampa Studland classic huge 8 berth tent but you dont have to put up the third bedroom still some around at bargain prices. Otherwise if its polyester then the Kampa Croyde is a lot of tent for your money

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
Outwell Yukon River and Kampa Filey Classic have both been discontinued. The canopy for the Yukon is impossible to find (if you want one). The Montana lake could be found for £550 last year and I think you can still get it for £659 if you look for last years stock.
I'm a Kampa convert and think they offered some cracking polycotton tents last year. You can find some bargains at the moment on these tents.
Have you made your purchase? We have bought a caravan and are going to sell our Yukon River 6. Due to our daughter emigrating we have only used it for 2 weekends, we now use all our annual leave to visit her and the weather didn't lend itself to week-end breaks in a tent last year, hence the swap to a caravan. It comes with footprint and carpet. No extension but there is a polyester version that fits. We were going to put it on ebay with a £400 reserve.
