I think she means wardrobes that you hang things in, she piles up folded clothes in them instead. I think it would be a pain (if I am right) that you decide you absolutely have to wear the t shirt at the bottom of the pile!

I havent had any problems with clothes falling off hangers in the three vans we've owned. Did have it happening win the inlaws motorhome which had a clothes rail that went front to back not side to side like the caravan one I've got.

Weve never had this problem, its because of the position of the wardrobe, it runs across the back of the van so when the vans moving around the clothes fall off the the rail, I have tried alternating the hangers and this didnt work, recently Iv not bothered putting them in iv just done it when we get on site but its a pain and when we go to France in July we take quite alot of stuff. Im going to get some of the foam pipe lagging and use the ladder bands thats been suggested so hopefully this will work? We are away again at Easter so will get it sorted for then. Iv just put up with it but this weekend weve been away again and I thought id ask if anyone had a solution. It must only be a problem depending on where the wardrobe is in the van.

Thanks to everyone for your ideas, im on a mission now to sort it out.  I didnt fancy paying out £25 for some lock on hangers!!

I think you'll find if you use pipe lagging you won't need the bands if you get my drift. The hangers just don't move. Obviously it reply on the hangers being the right size for the clothes.... I. E.   don't put adult clothes on children size hangers :)
