Hiya i wonder if someone could advise? i've got a berlingo van and at dog shows many people have various varients of shelters attached to their vans/cars.
I've saw this shelter and its basically only to sit in/cook in/leave dog cages in.
Does anyone think it can be doable to have this on the rear of the van and just fashion it somehow to go over the back of it?
I've not got stacks of money to spare and have been looking at day tents etc and just open the back doors into something for shelter as i'll be sleeping in the van.

Many thanks

I'm not familiar with that sorry. But, I would recommend the Quechua Base Seconds as a short stay 'awning'. While it won't fit directly to your Berlingo, and as (I think?) you have a side sliding door, it could be pitched up against the side of the van. Ok, it might be slightly higher than the Berlingo, but only just.

We have had one for a few years now, and it makes a good short stay shelter instead of the full awning, and is surprisingly sturdy in wind. Plenty of floor and head space. It wasn't available from Decathlon for a while, but I see it's back on sale - at a higher price sadly, partly as the Bongo owners praise it highly (which was how I came across it originally). I have rear awining also - Aztec Autohaven, but I think that would too unwieldy for what you are wanting.

Something like this maybe?

Edit -
I should add that though both your link and mine show VW campers, I think they'd fasten fine onto a Berlingo, especially if you have roof rails or bars! The Berlingo isn't as tall, but that can only make it easier I'd have thought to setup...

If you want a tailgate awning then google tailgate awning.

Sounds like a Packashack is the sort of thing you need. (I've just tried to bring the website up and it's taking ages to load today so I'm not sure if there's anything wrong with it. If this link doesn't work just Google it and you'll see other references to it.) They use the car tailgate for support so are a bit more quick and "temporary" than proper drivaway awnings. From memory they are about £80 I think.
