Looked very carefully at the Combi cool in the shop but decided (again) that as much as I fancy a fridge for the tent they are just too big and heavy for us .
Got quite interested in some little rotary washing lines - they had (tent)pegging points on the feet. Weighed about 2 kilos and folded down into a bag, like a chair bag, for transport. Cost about £20. But decided I was getting carried away and didn't buy one
Was very sensible and bought some gas cartridges that were on offer instead
And I bought two chairs I am pleased with - they are the armless, telescopic/folding sort which are so good for not taking up too much room in the tent or the car. But unlike a lot of the chairs of this type - which can be quite rickety and back breakingly uncomfortable - these have got a better-shaped, stronger frame and even one or two smidges of padding. So a bit more money but a whole lot more comfortable and stronger imho.
What have you bought this weekend? MT

We popped out for some lightbulbs yesterday and ended up getting some bargains?!!
A travel kettle for £6.99 (as part of our general lazy switch over to using an EHU!!!!) and a rechargable lantern.
The lantern seems really excellent £14.99 from THE RANGE and has got two recharging leads (one for the car and one for the mains) and a remote control thingie all included!! I have seem similar ones for about £30 or more. The only doubt about it is that there is no where on it or the packaging which states the make of it. This includes the box which has got 'Life time guarantee' written all over it!! Now that is rather strange - we asked the shop about it - and the rather dippy shop assistant sais 'oh.... i don't know then...' Anyway it works so far and we thought we would gamble the money and if in doubt take it back to the shop with the box.
Is it time for camping yet???!!! Don't fancy it in the snow!!!
