Hi Lodgey,

Just another train of thought me and my partner are going to try out a fishing bed chair this year. Hopefully some pics to follow next year when it arrives and we can use it for real!! it seems a lot of other people are trying them out too if not turning to them instead. I was enlightened by a few guys at work who would rather sleep on them than their own bed at home! GO Outdoors have a selection or have a look online. I can give you details of our double one too if you would like?!

Hi hughjazz,
The problem I have is lack of space in the car, it's just that I've heard good views for the aerobeds just wasn't sure which one to go for ..

We looked long and hard at campbeds but two singles (of whatever comfort rating) were unacceptable, and the centre bar ruled out a double. So we went for an Aerobed Active Raised Double. Seems fine on initial testing but not used *in anger* yet.

A lot here rate campbeds. That's great for them.

Have used my Aerobed active raised double for three seasons, love it and sleep better than I do at home.

jayner, I'm really impressed with the twist on/twist off pump. Much better that the "push in and hold tight" jobbie we've used before. And the initial charge did 3 test inflations. Nice piece of kit.

In my opinion you won't do better than an Aerobed - they're not cheap but they are sturdy, comfortable and reliable. At the end of the day you get what you pay for!

Hi,
We have a raised queensized intex airbed with built in pump. So comfy better than our matress at home no word of a lie! Its more like triple height and is quick and easy to inflate/deflate also of a real good quality. Bought for £30.00 !

Another vote for aerobed active here. The best nights sleep on a tent ever.

Aerobed themselves never seem to do deals on the Active Raised (36cm) Double which they currently list at £129.99. Best price I could find was £75 on Amazon.

Thanks for the replies will keep an eye out for them as looking for a decent height bed as hubby is disabled and would make getting in and out of bed easier for him

We bought one of those Intex beds in Aldi end of last year.. used it this weekend and OMG best nights sleep I've had in a long time!!

My OH was wary about the double height beds, but even he agreed that it's very comfy.

There are some on Amazon at the moment.. between £30-£50 depending on the design.
