With the 2004 you MUST have the correct ball with the AlKo extended neck or damage will occur to the coupling and/or neck of the tow ball
I spent a while with a file helping someone with a new caravan (collected from Germany) reduce the neck of a standard ball when on a rally in Brittany and unable to acquire the AlKo ball
It is not AlKo saying that you need their ball
