Hi,

We are starting the caravan trail with an ABI Dalesman420/2 circa 1998. We would like to purchase a full length awning. The A frame dimension is 9300mm. Can anyone please point us in the right direction.

Many thanks

Vanolly

Have a look at awning manufactures websites, they will give you the size required and options available.

9300mm would be 930 in cm - this is the length of your awning rail measured right along the entire awning rail channel and right down to the ground on each side (lets call it the 'ground to ground measurement').

Some awning manufacturers make awnings with a size range e.g that say '925-950'. This would be the right size for your caravan if your ground to ground measurement is somewhere in between those two figures (930 in your case).

Other awning manufacturers will sell awnings with a single measurement e.g '925'. Usually this means that the awning will fit if your measurement is up to 15cm less or up to 15cm more than the stated measurement (so would fit about 910 to 940).

There is an awning sizes clicky here for you which might help.

You can get some very nice second hand bargains on ebay or Preloved or Gumtree at this time of the year, or you could search online for local stockists so you could go and view a few before you decide on the one that's right for you. Good luck

Hi all,

We purchased our new full length awning
from CAMPING INTERNATIONAL, Chatham, Kent. We visited their showrooms and brought one from stock. Their staff were so patient and courteous to rookies like us. We compared prices with on-line sites and found that they were very competitive. We would thoroughly recommend them.

Many thanks to those who responded.
