We have been using cheap camping chair from Asda for the last couple of years and while its ok for eating at the same with its not that comfortable in the evening to sit in and watch the clouds or a bit of tv.

So we are looking for a comfortable chair that has a high back so that u can lean your head on. We would use this chair to sit up at a table and eat at too so can't be a moon chair :)

We got a couple of Lafuma Champ Elips Padded chairs in Green from Riversway back in 2008.

Superb chairs and were on ex-display offer at £30 each, although they were still in there packaging having never been opened.

The chairs are still available, but are a little pricey these days unless like us you can find a bargain.

Even after almost five years the chairs show almost no signs of wear, and we don't just use them for camping, they come in handy for use out in the garden at home, or if we go for a day trip out somwhere.

For such a large chair they pack quite flat, and weigh next to nothing.

We have the std width size, but the also do an XL model.

Forget the internet, visit a few dealers you may find a bargain, although we bought ours end of season when most of the bargains are to be had, this is definatley not the best time of the year for buying stuff if you wan't a bargain.

Hi
I would also suggest visiting a few dealers just to sit on and try some chairs which is what we did that way we found the most comfortable chairs for us.

We had the same problem and I stumbled across some nice comfy full size reclining chairs in Morrison's when shopping they have a full padded cushion and can recline right back to horizontal. I got mine a couple of years back but I am sure they still sell them at around £25-£30. worth a look.

Agree with the comment about trying a few before you buy.

where did you get them were looking at getting some but round the £35-£40 mark so £19.99 sounds a real bargain

We have Outwell Windsor Hill's (worth a shop around re price?)
We found them very comfy, but due to my age, I have now started needing a cushion for the small of my back, as these are not particularly supportive.

Other than that, we love 'em.
Seat or lounger.... zip on/off full length leg rest, 3 recliner positions, bottle holder in the arm. Was sat in them this time last night, on site, in the evening sunshine, with a well earned cuppa, and wrapped up from the cold breeze..... very relaxing, I nodded off!! :-)

Edited to get the right link..... eventually!

Hi, we bought Vango Corona's (would do a link but for some reason my computer wont let me do these for the last couple of weeks) as we too wanted something to rest our head on. I also wanted a recliner for a bit of sunbathing (in France I hasten to add!) We bought them at £20 at the end of last season but they seem to have gone up in price. Very comfortable.

Have a look here:

http://www.riverswayleisure.co.uk/acatalog/Furniture.html

We bought the Monaco ones a couple of months ago (they were actually on 2 for £49 back then but still a good price now I think) They are really comfortable, the padded head rest can be adjusted to suit how tall/short you are and the recline option is great. We are really pleased with them.

Hi, I also have Kampa bucket chairs and they are very good. Best chairs I have however are Kampa Skipper- they are padded, have high backs and also multi-position- so great for reclining as well as more upright for dining etc. They also did not cost a fortune and are fantastic chairs with good build quality.

We got the Hawaii recliners from Go and they are brilliant. I've even slept all night on one when my knee gave way!
