I've seen a few of you recommending double height airbeds (i think intex was mentioned) but when iook online there are lots of different models, some with integral pumps. Which one would you recommend?
------------- April- rosetta 3 nights
May - walled garden 3 nights
June- ??
July- monkey tree 14 nights
As you say there are lots of brands. We have had an Intex Queen double height with built in pump for around 6 years and to be honest its a great nights sleep .
It doesn't loose pressure during the night and doesn't catapult your partner when you sit down on the other side.
It has a kind of faux suede finish.
I always put down insulation under bed ,mattress topper and fitted sheet then sleeping bags...toastie.
------------- It is a wise man who has something to say.
It is a fool who has to say something.
We had intex triple height one for 2 years until I put a hole it.
Have just brought a Intex Queen size double height one as a replacement. The one we got was from the Range at £54.99.
We have just bought a double height one from the studio book, built in pump, inflated in a minute or two and the same for deflation. Very comfy bed. Cost about £40.
The intex pack size is a little on the large side, so if you are tight for space it could be a problem. As it has the built in pump it wont fit into those small/ free spaces. It is however a great bed and provides a quality nights sleep, we are lucky enough to have a pick up truck so no issues fitting everything/one in!
My Intex double height airbed lasted one season as it developed a leak around the built in pump. It was a fortune, so disappointed. Will never use an airbed again. SIM and campbed for me.
I use the Intex Queen size without the built in pump. They are two doubles which can be used separately or zipped together to make a double height one.
We have had them 3 years and leave one blown up in our awning annexe for most of the season - needs a bit of air from time to time but I would replace it with the same if I needed a replacement.
Intel queen 2 in 1 airdead in khaki, so comfy and it's 2 on top of each other so in the unfortunate chance u get a puncture in one still have one to sleep on though. Very stable too lol £30 of Amazon when I bought (last summer) x
Intex Queen without built in pump. Bought 4 years ago and normally up by end of April until end of September as we sleep in the awning on our seasonal pitch. Not lightweights either as we must be about 35stone between us and then there's the dog who sleeps inbetween. Fabulous and would replace with the same.
We too have the intex queen air bed without the built in pump and cost bout £20 from Amazon. We didn't need the built in pump as we already have an electric pump from before which we also use to deflate vac bags. OH would only consider an air bed for sleeping so would always replace with the same. The pack weighs bout 8kgs and is not small, but we feel its worth it.
