You may find the height in the brochure (I am assuming that where you have it from) is the overall height which includes the aerial, roof lights etc.
Most porch awnings fit heights of between 2.35 and 2.5 and if you measure it you will likely find it fits
If you have measured it then my apologies but thats awfully tall if you add aerial etc
I'd go second hand (as cant get new) on an Inaca Kalahari or the newer Mercury very underrated awnings
Oh and check it wont fowl windows and door when up eg the uprights
