Hello Forum members,

I am getting myself set up for camping this year with my family and I'm going to splash out on either a Beauclaire or the new 2013 cadac carri chef 2

I went all prepared to hand over my cash yesterday for a Beauclaire when the guy in the shop said.......
Have you seen these new cadac's....
Arr I said..... The Beauclaire is the preferred unit amongst the camping crew.....
Arr yes he said... I agree it was but the new cadac has been revised and is much better than the old version and better value than the Beauclaire

The Beauclaire seems to have a great reputation and is favoured by users against the older cadac but the new revised cadac looks the dogs doodies!
any one got one.... Any advise......can't seem to find any reviews yet...... May be a brand new release from cadac and nobody has one yet?

Have the new Cadac (my old one went to a friend) and would always have a Cadac but I think there may be a caravan / tent camp (pardon pun) here.   I feel most caravanners prefer the cadacs but I may be wrong.

Get one with the grill and the skottel though skottels can be bought for a decent 25.00 on ebay

Not a lot and that's why Id said buy a skottel eg if you get a 2012 model   Only reason mine was sold was a friend borrowed it last, late August, 8 months later still not back so he in the pub one evening a few weeks ago when I asked about getting it back paid me £150.00 for it instead .. So I bought a new one...I would not have otherwise.

The grill pan has changed its slightly more deeper... and there is a thermometer in lid. Without the two side by side its hard to compare but I do think the new ones cooking ares is slightly more...I much prefer the skotell tie the paella as its not so deep so food gets cooked around edges the paella pan you have to keep stirring so food goes from outside to middle I guess thats the whole point of Paella though we all prefer different its only imho

Thanks for the update, I have the previous model with Skottle and am very happy with it so don't think will need to update.
