Hi
We've used airbeds for a number of years, but are trying to reduce the camp set-up / break down times, as we're now camping more for just a couple of nights at a time. We have a couple of (oldish) thermarests, which are very convenient, but I find that they're just not wide enough, and I keep rolling off during the night. Checking around, they all seem to be 50 - 55cm wide. Does anybody know of wider mattresses, probably 70 - 80cm wide ?
Thanks.

Yes the XL versions for most manufacturers are considerably wider than the standard ones.

What about the Alpkit Wideboy? It's 64 cm wide. My friend has one of these and deflates to about half the size of my Gelert Adventure XL SIM

I ordered a vango comfort xl last week and it came today so it's currently self inflating. It's 76cm wide, its really quite wide and its 10cm thick. I have yet to lie on it but it looks comfy.

I've just read some reviews on the Vango Comfort XL, and a few commented that they're a bit of a s*d to deflate. Has anybody experienced this ?

I have just put it back down, it took no more than 3 ish minutes, definitely no more than 5 (estimation but it took next to no time). I folded/rolled it into 4-6 sections and knelt on each one to get most of the air out, then I quickly started rolling it up and only needed to kneel on the last 2 rolls and twisted the valves and put the elastic things on and it fitted perfectly in the bag. I would say it's much less effort than most sleeping bags, and it's definitely less effort than the aldi sims I have atm. There's two valves so I think the air comes out easier.
