This might be worth a look....
"Fairly" wide, at 900mm x "Very Long" at 2300mm (to top of pillow hood)
A bit bulky, pack size wise, but fleece lined, (one layer is removable) and lovely and warm.
In the snow, I still slept in thin thermals, but at Easter, only just above zero at night, I was down to long sleeved footy shirt, shorts... and no socks!! :-)

Hi Sancho,
At 6'6" and about 18 st I know the problems you have with sleeping bags.
We have 2 North Face 'Eigers' (if memory serves) which are what I would call 'old fashioned' sleeping bags (ie, rectangles not mummies)..... and you can zip them together to make a double - which is great - and are comfortable own to minus 5........... so great for the British Summer!

Costco sell an oversized bag which OH finds great. I'm not sure how much but probably less than £30. You need to be a member of Costco or find someone who is.
