Thanks for your replies. Bexamy, we have a small tripod type 'normal' barbeque which is basically a metal bowl to hold the bricks and a grill on top. There are three heights for the grill section. It's quite small and was bought cheaply from Wilkinsons I think. It's fine for taking with the caravan. It's big enough for two of us and my husband hasn't a problem with it. I think it takes too long to get going so I thought a gas one would be easier but they seem to be just a grill really.
