Hi thinking of going camping sometime this year with my baby who is 6 weeks
What do people do people regarding sterilising equipment?
And what do people put their little ones in for sleeping etc?

Thanks in advance x

Milton Solution and lots of hot water is what we used when we went with our son.

Hiya, I took a cold water steriliser but don't like the bleach taint of Milton. Tommee tippee now do a sterilising fluid for cold water, you can get it in boots. There is no taint to it and I now use it to sterilise our aquaroll for caravan.

For sleeping we had a travel cot, cardboard underneath for insulation. Fleece blanket on top of mattress, baby in a "grobag" and fleecy all in one and then blanket on top. Toasty warm baby apart from his hands which woke him up so next night put socks on his hands and he was sorted

Didn't bother with a highchair or anything, just used buggy.

That's all we took for him specially apart from obviously milk etc. use bottled water to boil but check sodium level before you buy. Most are ok though so no panic.

Enjoy

I used a double airbed (for some reason neither of my two would ever sleep in a travel cot)

We had a fan heater although didn't run it at night so I put my baby in:-

A long sleeved vest, tights, fleecy all in one, a normal grobag, a vango nitestar baby (these are fab see link below) then put a fleecy blanket over her and topped it all off by putting her in a hat! This was last week so it was still a little chilly! She slept better than everyone!

We went with our youngest daughter when she was 5 weeks old. Took a steam steriliser which the lovely site owner let me use in the on site shop. Daughter slept in her pram in a sleeping bag with a belt IDE around the bottom to stop her slipping down. She ,just have been content as she slept all night e first night, and has done every night since!

All the other campers made a big fuss of her and we had a great time.

Enjoy yourselves.
