IMHO, it is not necessary to use Delta pegs on all the guys, just the load-bearing ones usually attached to the poles for the tent.
For non-load bearing ones such as guys for holding the vents open, they do not need Deltas.
For my Hypercamp Escala 4 Dutch pyramid canvas tent that has over 30 pegging points for the main tent canvas alone, I only use 9 Delta pegs, the rest I use 9in angle steel pegs.
I would advise 6 pegs for the Icarus 500 tent alone without any extension/canopy/awning/etc., 2 for each of the poles on either side as a minimum.
It is always a good idea to carry a variety of pegs to suit different ground conditions.
Deltas will suit soft to normal grounds, however, they are not very good with very hard grounds.
The T-bar rock pegs that Rob of Delta Groundanchors sells along with yellow nylon Delta pegs are solidly made, and excellent value for money for pegs made out of solid stainless steel. I carry a few in case of hard grounds.
Consider also the extra long peg extractor and the Delta Dog Tether while you are shopping for Delta pegs, as they are excellent for their intended purposes.
