Must say there deffo worth the money, i bought one at easter from the southampton branch of machine mart along with an EHU lead to plug in between the caravan and the generator, I only needed it realy to top up my 110 leasure battery in the van as we were at a C&CC DA meet and the weather was freezing so the little one used the Ipad and tv more than he normally would as it was so cold, i didn't use the 12v battery charging facility of the generator but plugged it into the caravan as mains supply thus to use the vans own 30amp onboard battery charger to boost up the leasure battery which it did with ease on the quiet load setting, ive since used the IG1000 down at my storage facility and for some outside diy work, although it is realy quiet i wanted to make sure it was realy quiet running for longer periods if required and added this little exhaust which is simply held in place by 2 springs lol and the generator left running in the back of the car left not unattended with plenty of air for cooling the genney...

Does that exhaust really make it much quieter or is it just to vent to the atmosphere?

Vent to atmosphere only and the generator is much quieter by being shoved in the boot, the exhaust is a bit of flexi night heater exhaust from a truck...

Just want to say I bought a second hand i1000 - it hasn't been very well looked after. Both left and right hand casing were damaged + the recoil starter is awkward to put back and takes a couple goes to get it to recoil. The good news is that Clarke had the parts I wanted in stock.   The casings were just £8 each + vat + Delivery ordered Tuesday arrived today. I have just ordered a new recoil starter by phone paying with a card.   The staff to date have been knowledgeable and helpful. Worth mentioning the the casings HAVE ALL THE OE STICKERS ALREADY ON THEM.

Specifications are on this page.

(Agree about weight and size issues - haven't posted actual weight so as not to make the competition answer too easy to find!)
