I am currently in Greece and had my Red propane cylinder refilled at a gas plant (replacement cyclinders are not compatible out here). However I am now panicking that they might have filled it with Butane.
If I use it (I have a propane regulator fitted)will it be dangerous ?????

If it wasn't specified whether butane or propane its probably a mixture of both, just try it, its not going to flare up or anything, I doubt it will make any difference. If your caravan has a bulkhead regulator then its suitable for both anyway.
Are you using a bulkhead regulator or is it a bottle top regulator, butane is lower pressure than propane & should be used with 28m/b regulator so probably won't work with 37m/b propane regulator but bulkhead regulators are 30m/b & will work with both.
Think you got it Tentz. Its a bottle regulator and its 37m/b. So I guess they filled the bottle with butane.
For those who know Greece its not surprising. The gas depot had thousands of cylinders filling, all the colours of the rainbow......Guess the only way is to buy a Greek Bottle & replace the regulator.

Thanks guys...
Just tried it...absolutely nothing! So I guess the regulator (propane)is restricting supply too much ?
The regulator would be letting too much through not restricting the supply. Perhaps they've just filled it with compressed air !!
