Just come back from a weekend in our caravan and both of us are suffering with backache. Can anybody recommend a decent but inexpensive mattress topper that will be easy to store etc????
We sleep in the front of the van using the seat cushions which is what seems to be the problem as there's too many cracks etc
I'd go with a couple of self inflating mats, aldi should have them soon around £15 each and roll up reasonably small too. If you do buy them make sure you leave them open for a good day or two at home before you use them as the foam core has been compressed for packaging and takes a while to recover, I think it took two or three times before ours got to optimum height.

We sleep on a double mattress topper from Poundstretcher/Instore, I think we paid around £30 and its made such a difference.
We use a three inch memory foam topper on our Combi Camp bed, but that stays made up all day, so storage isn't a problem. However, if you have to turn the beds back into sofa's during the day, then a memory foam topper will be unwieldy to fold or roll, and will take up lot's of storage space. So self-inflating mats may be your best option.
we got one from ikea....liked it so much got one for bed at home

We don't have a problem with storing it as we have a twin dinette, so in the day it is rolled up onto one of the seats at the back (daughters bed area), or popped in the awning (as we always have a porch awning up)
My parents roll theirs up & store it in the shower cubicle during the day (they have a 2 berth caravan), so storage isn't an insurmountable problem (though I agree awkward if you have a 2 berth with a combi shower / loo set up!)
