Could anyone recommend me an air bed pump which is great for deflating? I want one which I can use to deflate vac bags on a campsite, I got one from Tesco which was (in my opinion) rubbish. It leaked air all over the casing when you deflated so once any vacuum started to build whatsoever it just sucked air from everywhere else other than where it was needed.

I don't want to waste money on another brand in case it's the same. I don't need it to inflate anything, kids use camp beds and I use an aerobed. I had thought of modding the pump of that but then if it breaks theres nothing else which will blow up the aerobed, plus it's expensive to replace.

I even thought of a wee cheapo 12v vacuum cleaner, seeing as I don't need the functionality of a pump.

Any advice would be great.

You need to create a vacuum around the pump and the vacuum bag hole! I use several sized cardboard tubes! I have bags with all different sized holes. I use a pump from argos. Mind, they never do as good a job as the hoover at home when I'm packing them.
