Going camping for 5 nights over the bank holiday and in an attempt to add variety to our meals I have been considering buying a Cobb - but many reviews say hard to hand wash, so what about the slow cooker? Wondering if the Campsite EHU will be able to cope with it.
Have a 2 ring cooker in any case so can be quite creative - just didn't want to spend the time slaving over a hot stove!!
The Cobb is fine to wash if you use fairy green spray (sorry not sure of the name! But it's a green spray bottle). When you've used the cobb, put a little water into the Moat and the heat left in it will start to loosen things. After your meal spray the rest with fairy, leave for 30 mins. Then wash off without any trouble at the big sink. Done. Or so hubbies says.....
Your other question about a slow cooker and the ehu, should be no problem at all. I also use one! As well as the Cobb & cadac depending on where we're staying get & who with etc..
------------- Fab time in France again.... Roll on next year!
Fairy power spray, works wonders. I generally just wash the grill plate in between uses, the actual Cobb gets a wipe with some kitchen towel and washed after last use of the trip. It has a proper wash in the dishwasher too when we get home.
Love my slow cooker and it will definitely be coming away with me this weekend.
It uses very little power and you can make loads of delicious meals in it.
