Hi, hope I'm in the right place to ask this question, and apologies if I'm not....
I have the offer of a well-priced, second-hand Outwell Minnesota 4, and I'm very tempted to buy it. The only problem, however, is the weight issue as we're going to the continent and this needs to be carried in one or possibly two rucksacks.
So, what I wanted to ask is if it is possible to swap the metal poles for fibre glass (or similar) to cut down on weight (durability, strength and so on, not really an issue, mid July, in Germany).
Would be grateful for any advice or ideas as to how to go about doing this, and even if it's a possibility at all. Cheers. HM
