I am looking for load bars to carry bikes on top of our brenderup 1150 with ABS lid trailer as in the picture below -

Does anyone have any like these and where did you get them from?

The only supplier I can find is Lichfield and their bars don't look as good as the ones in the above pic.

Peaches2472 Did you find any load bars? I'm looking for some to mount bike carriers on a 1205s. I tried to fit a 'multi purpose carrier' ref MC101 from TrailerTek today. It's designed to fit onto the rim and still allows a flat cover due to the u shaped brackets. It didn't fit though, the trailer edge is about 3mm too wide so it's going back. Not sure if there is an alternate size available. Think it's designed for Trelgo trailers.

Hi

I have a 1205s recently purchased from Lichfield trailer centre. It has the ABS lid and load bars fitted. Mine are like the ones in the above picture and they work fine and are very secure. They bolt through the metal framework which sits under the ABS around the edges.

Dean.

Hi,

I use the genuine Brenderup ones like the ones in the pic on my 1205 - they are very sturdy.  I have 4 x Mont Blanc Barracuda bike carriers and then mount two adult and two kids bike into these no problem at all - very sturdy.

I do not have the ABS lid - just have the tarp cover over the trailer - this works fine as well.

Hope this helps - happy to supply pic if that would help!

I took back the bars and it seems the supplier have changed the design, they swapped for the older style and they fit fine. I will need to drill some holes to mount them, but I've fitted my four bike carriers without any trouble and the design of the bars means the cover will still fit. I'd recommend spacing the bar mounts directly above the 2nd and fourth spigots (whatever the correct technical term is) where the elastic for the cover loops around. Should look like this when I'm done, but with the bars spaced correctly so as not to snag the elastic.

Has anybody heard of load bars cracking abs lids? I live in South Africa, and have a 1150s- however Brenderup importing has stoped here- so if I break something no spares. Would love to get a set of load bars from ebay, but have heard a rumour that they cause the abs lid to crack if taking bikes. Any heard about this?
