Although our Freedom Microlite only weighs between 580kg and 750kg, it can still be quite a handful to manouvre on our driveway due to slight gradients.We have a 110 amp hr leisure battery on board. We sometimes have trouble on hilly sites.

What make is your mover and would you recommend it for retrofitting? Is it worth the saving to DIY fit? I don't think that I would buy anything other than the type which drives the caravan tyres directly. Or am I missing a "trick" ?

We have a powrtouch mover fitted to our caravan, and I can highly recommend them, also excellent back up from their technical department.

On a previous van we had an enduro eco mover which was OK, but nowhere near as good as the powrtouch in terms of quality

As far as self fitting goes, if you are a competent DIY'er a mover is easily fiited in 4 - 5 hours, though some movers get an extended waranty if you have it fitted by an approved fitter

It may be an old saying - but with movers you get what you pay for - your choice at the end of the day
