We pack into our fridges so there is no wasted space, the bag ones don't cope well in warm climates at dropping the internal temperature.

The cool bags from Costco are fantastic when used with a large, flat ice pack. I've had one for a few years now and it keeps things colder and longer than a solid sided one. A nice touch is the plastic, removable liner and Velcro easy access lid. Inexpensive too and fold flat when not in use. A no brainier really.
