Hi i am 1st time user of an electric coolbox, I bought the aldi one today, 49.99 euro, still a good deal but can anyone tell me do I need to have it plugged in all the time? yes? as some of the campsites don't offer electricity points for tents or do I keep it plugged into my car? Sorry I know these are pretty silly questions? i was gonna just buy a regular coolbox with the freezer packs but i dont know would they keep milk fresh? Thanks for any help you can give me.
They need plugged in constantly but would drain yourcar battery if left for any length of time without the engine running. They're really only suitable for use with ehu.

To keep things cool you do usually need to keep it running all the time & be aware it cools to about 18deg below the outside temp whatever that is, so on cold nights if it is in your tent or outside you need to unplug it or it will freeze your drinks solid. Conversely in very hot weather(if we ever get any)mid 20s or above it might not cool that well so put all your drinks in previous night & don't add anything daytimes or it will warm up contents. This is generaly good advice for coolbox use anyway, fill it up before you go to bed & don't add anything during the day.
You can't run coolbox from your parked car overnight you will have a flat battery in the morning.
Hi guys thanks for that, I think I will return the coolerbox? I havnt opened it. Maybe one of the other cooler boxes might be sufficient for a bit of milk and cheese?
If its in your budget go for something like a Coleman xtreme, if prepped correctly they stay amazingly cold for ages. If I had to buy one now that's what I'd go for.
