Hi
I'm new to the caravaning side of camping and bought some cheap(ish) towing mirrors to use with my new van, but on using them for the first time they vibrated so much they made me feel sick !!
What I would like to know is if I spend a little more on another pair will that minimise the vibration or is this something I will just have to try and get used to !!!
Any recommendation are more than welcome
Thanks in advance
Tony
Best ones are Milenco, They clamp onto edge of most car mirrors, are easy to take on & off, don't vibrate & can be adjusted easily. About £40odd a set.
We have recently changed cars to a Ford Kuga and had to buy new larger towing mirrors.Chose Milenco after reading reviews on here.
Tentz post is spot on,as David says convex/flat mirror is a personal choice I opted for the tried and trusted flat type.
I have a set of the "rubber band" type and have had no issues with vibration they are solid as a rock. I am thinking that the vibration may be through the car mirrors due to the extra weight.
I do make sure they are on really tight and that there is little or no gap between the car and the towing mirror where they meet at each end.
The only thing I find with these is the wee tabs that clip in to the mirror surround can push against the car mirror and you don't get full range of movement on the electric mirror.
I'm with Tentz & DC on this one too Tony, brilliant mirrors. Started with flat type but convinced to try convex and must admit they are spot on for me as they give a better overall view, Millenco make good stuff and I can't fault them. The mounting brackets fouled the car mirror on my Accord but don't on my CR-V.
