Hi all. We are new to caravanning as you can see from my profile. We;ve been fitting our van out with everything required and couldn't believe the price of made to measure fitted sheets for the bunks in our Adria.
Anyway I have found a great shop to buy from, they actually advertise as selling childrens sheets but do made to measure at a fraction of the price of caravan sellers.
We bought 3 sheets in 2 different sizes for £37.75 delivered. They arrived this morning and are well made, so I thought I would share :-)
We were the same but with the adria the bunks are down the side if the bathroom so awkward to get to. Much easier to fit the sheet and then put the mattress back on the frame :-)
When I traveled with hubby in Merchant Navy many years ago, it was sometimes difficult to make the bed/bunk up so we tied a knot in each corner of the bottom sheet to make it fit and then in the two corners at the bottom of the bed on the top sheet. Worked every time, and can be adjusted to size.
I've been contemplating buying the small single fitted sheets but then I had an idea based on what I already do now at home.
I bought some elasticated sheet straps from ebay a while ago to keep my kids sheets in place, so I just thought I'd buy a couple more of those, use normal single fitted sheets and clip the straps to the sheets to keep them in place. A set of straps (4 in a pk) works out at about £4. You'd probably need 2 straps per bed.
last year we bought a quilt cover with the corner cut off and two pillow cases to match they cost me £57.00 from jonic. What a load of crap, took too long to arrive, not made to measure as described and cheap crappy material, Never Again.
am my mother and mother-in-law did when I was a child. It is about 10 years since I last bought sheets made to measure for the caravan and they are still going strong. I have bought other bits recently and find them good value for money. Not the absolute cheapest but a good reliable product.
