Hi, I've joined the forum to say thanks more than anything.

I've been searching for a carpet for my Icarus (2011) 500. Not wanting to pay the £65 for the original carpet I've been googling away trying to find info on carpet sizes (surprisingly difficult)- The best sites by far were this site and the Thejoyofcanvas website which was invaluable.

I've settled upon an Icarus 600 carpet, 2011 year model for £30 from Towsure in Sheffield, they seem to have quite a few in stock if anyone is after one...the carpet is slightly longer but we're talking probably 30cm, with the correct width (only just short of) - so all in all, a damned decent buy :)

I've also fed back to the above website having gotten some info on other carpets from Vango themselves, hopefully that will enable others to benefit.

I have a couple of 2011 500 carpets knocking around if it helps anyone. I think you all know I don't normally advertise in my posts but I know how rare the 2011 carpets are for 500's. If the moderators feel this response needs to be removed then no worries.

Hi, yes yes you are indeed correct, the 600 is actually 390 wide where as the 500 is 335...... I can still tuck the carpet underneath itself around the edges, this isn't a huge problem considering the saving :)

Gary, I should have posted here first before purchasing clearly :D What are you selling these 500's at?

Hi Gary, I'm after a carpet for the 500 but I don't know what year my tent it. Does one size fit all. I've got a picture of it in my profile if anyone can hazard a guess at which year mine is from. Many thanks

I was looking for a carpet for the 500 as well but decided to go with a Coleman tent carpet for £20 - completely over sized but will cut it down to size.

Looking at the colour way Kippaxlady it looks like a 2011 or 2010 so smaller than the 2012 onwards. The 2012 onwards were a darker green and wider.

Hi Gary, I was told it was a 2009 model. Do you have any carpets for that the will fit there or there abouts.
I also want the canopy, vango have said the 2010 or 2011 will fit. I hope they are right.

The 2012 footprint is to wide also, you Ned a pre 2012 carpet and footprint for a 2009 tent. Just ring me tomorrow at my shop. You can find our details in the "view profile" just above. Its against forum rules for me to advertise my business in the posts which is quite right.
