We've just bought a new posh Robens Cabin 600 tent and decided it's time to live the life of luxury and get a camping carpet!
The living space is rectangle, 170 x 330 so should be quite easy to get something. But I'm not sure what to get. The eco mat type seems most appealing, but they seem to only come in 2.5 or 3m width so we'd need to cut to size. I'd be worried about making a mess of it - so does anyone know anywhere that will cut camping carpet to just the right size?
Yep, we got a couple of Outwell carpets for our Cabanon, one for the sleeping pod and the other for the living area.
Took some measurements, and the lady on the local market who does clothing alterations, made them a bespoke perfect fit for the princely sum of £10 per carpet.
That was a couple of years back, and I have read on here that the current Outwell carpets are not as good a quality as the older ones.
Go to Camping World in Horsham and rummage through an awning full of ex display carpets. Some are marked up but most of them come from tents unknown, from small to really really big ones, and there's deals to be had on all of them to clear!
If you can't find one to fit exactly, the *proper* tent carpets are easily adapted, if necessary. We made a second BL carpet into 2 matching bedroom carpets, and had enough left to make an entrance mat.
The tent has a SIG so whilst the eco type awning carpets are easily cut to size, there's little point looking at them. They're intended for use on grass in awnings, not inside on a tent SIG.
Good luck!

My advice is worth no more than the price paid for it
