When we camped last weekend (leaving the teenagers at home) i was really worried about my mobile battery running out. As it happens I ended up turning it off between calls and hoping there wasn't an emergency.
However its made me realise I need someway of charging when away. We have a tent and no electric so I can't use my normal charger.
How do other people manage...i know I should be getting away from gadgets when we are camping, but I need my family to be able to get hold of me in an emergency!

Take a charger and plug it in while in the local pub. I've never been refused this.
------------- We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.

Some campsites will charge phones for you or may have a power point you can use.

Anker 10000 mAh external battery pack, solar charger, in car charger or just be different how about taking an old phone that hasn`t got a massive screen and loads of apps. If it`s just for emergencies have a rummage through your drawers for that old Nokia 3320 that you used to have ( didn`t everyone? ) they last almost a full week if you aren`t making any calls

The good thing about the USB adaptors is that you only have to carry one plug, a couple of USB leads, one for the phone/iPod/iPad and one for the camera.

It would be so easy if all phones were the same charging port. All manufacturers got together and agreed on the micro USB port (except Apple who decided to go their own way, then change again to something completely different).
