I've been given , as a keepsake, a Black's Tinker tent of 60s vintage. The tent belonged to a dear departed friend with whom I spent many, both summer and winter camps.
The canvas is probably now quite ripe - but no matter. I hope to pitch the tent again for old times sake. It comes with a complete? set of aluminium poles, bur I have no idea of the correct assembly. Is there another vintage camper out there who could advise me. Many thanks,

Not familiar with the tent, but it is discussed in this old thread.
Although Bernie's pictures have disappeared, there is a link to some posted by Teletim, which may hopefully help with the assembly.
(Edit - just scrolled down and see you've already found that thread!)
This is my Tinker Junior referred to above.
The Tinker Junior was a one man tent whereas the Tinker was a two man tent and was usually green.
The poles are not complicated, the low pole goes at the back and the high pole at the front with spacers between tent and flysheet.
Teletim's pictures of the Good Companion brought back some memories! My father bought one in 1963 - ours had the A frame and the extended flysheet. My hubby and I used it for our first camping trip together in 1978 and my brother still has it in his garage and used it a few years back.
