Right folks, need expert advice here...

I bought a Coleman dual fuel stove and during the testing couldnt really get it to produce much heat. I noticed a pool of fluid in the base and thought I must have a leak so returned and exchanged it.

The new one worked fine for 2 nights last month and for 3 nights do far on my holland trip.... But tonight, mid cook it died. It must need re-pressurising I thought so started pumping, nothing doing. I topped up the fuel and re-pressurised. When I went to start it I couldn't hear the hiss coming through though.

Now it won't start at all and doesn't appear to be coming through properly. Again, fuel appears to be dripping and pooling in the base!

I bought this model of cooker as I was told it was indestructible!

i dont have a coleman but do have multi fuel stoves and to me it sounds like the jet is blocked there should be detailed cleaning instructions . It should be a relatively easy job . Just curious as to what fuel your using ?
Some one with more coleman knowledge should be along .

I do hope you fix it as they are great stoves and so neat. I do like mine although the slave is misbehaving but it might be down to user error...

Sounds like you might have overfilled it, it needs a degree of air expansion to pressure the fuel (20% or so).

I have owned this stove since 2005 and have yet to replace any parts, it's bomb proof. I have run mine on petrol by the way, never tried the coleman fuel but I know the octane can & has given it problems in other countries.

If the jet is blocked it can be cleared by blowing on my MSR, would imagine the same although it's rare on these stoves.

Try filling it around 60% with petrol and lighting on full flame, arms length that is!

Fuel dripping and pooling from where?

Could have excess fuel under the burners, which are easy to strip down and mop up (been there, done that).

Separate the tank from the cooker, pressurise and open the valve - there should be a steady narrow squirt of fuel coming out in a nice long jet (outside of course!). Otherwise the needle jet may be blocked.

I had trouble using petrol over time, it gummed the needle jet and kept faltering, despite using stuff like Redex to help clean the internals. So, use Aspen 4 now which is cheaper than Coleman fuel and then petrol in my small Featherlite stoves.
