Well we were so pleased with our aerobed, comfiest thing we have ever slept on, have been singing its praises and were so happy........BUT
Just over a year old and one side leaks, we can't find the leak, can't hear any air coming out of anywhere but it doesn't just go soft, it goes completely flat when you sleep on it.
A lot of money for a years use....... Brilliant for my back and a great nights sleep but we can't afford to get another and risk same thing happening.
Ours went down the first week we used it and couldn't locate the hole with soapy water ect. Wouldnt buy another in a million years! Aerobed didn't want to help either and informed me they sold replacement valves and I should try one of these as soon as they're back in stock! Was reported to trading standards for disgusting service and practices. I'm sure like all companies they have mostly good sales though.
Debs that's weird you cant find the leak. We had a leak in our air bed only found it when I got a couple of people to lie on it. Perhaps if you know someone with a large paddling pool you could put it in that and see if you can see any bubbles. I know that sounds daft but if you saw the size of my grand daughters paddling pool you would see its not as stupid as it sounds. No wonder there was a hosepipe ban last year, some of these so called paddling pools are enormous.
Debs, we got one last month, first camping trip and like you say, best nights sleep ever we haave ours on top of a double outwell posadas, but one side lost small amounts of air every couple of days, not a lot but enough to have to pump up.
But the height of the two together is fab, just like being at home.
I have blown it up again and left it for 24 hrs and its not gone down but as soon as someone sleeps on it, it's completely flat.... Pulling my hair out! I am still taking it for me to sleep on the side of it that's ok but taking a separate air bed for hubby
What a shame and how frustrating, I got a really quick response when I emailed them after we had the same issue, they exchanged it no problem, did you purchase direct? Just had a look at the email we got from them and its from a customer service advisor with a Coleman email address didn't even know it was the same Company! Good luck.
Hi we have had 3 aerobeds now a active double 3yrs old still going strong.. And we decided to get a active double dual zone had the first one 10months end of summer 2 weeks and used again early Easter then woosshh .... One side flat.. Brought through Argos so returned for money back then brought same again through amazon same happened so money back and replaced with thermorest mondoking which seems really great this I can recommend! Both failures was at the middle seam between the two compartments which can not be repaired I also notice that they are no longer for sell ? Mmm?

That's interesting as that's the one we have, I purchased direct from aerobed but like I say I have emailed them but got no response. That'll teach me to purchase direct
We have the same bed. Ours split on the seam. I used a cloth and wiped all the seams with water that had fairy liquid in it. I identified the leak as small soapy bubbles appeared where the split was. I ordered a patch and glue from aerobed direct and the repair is holding up so far. Although we take a cheap spare double airbed with us each time we go just in case! I hope that helps.
