Yes there should be no reason why it wouldn't work but if you use the parking sensors get a detachable tow bar as it interferes with the beep, I have reverse sensors and a detachable tow bar and it is totally fine

No reason why not. Whilst I'm not familiar with the the Focus, most cars with reversing sensors will either detect that a trailer is plugged in and disable the sensors. Alternatively they usually only activate when reversing anyway.

thank goodness ! we go away next weekend and we thought we would have to take 2 cars instead of our trailer ! We normally leave the tow bar on but it sits lower than the sensors so hopefully this is ok ?

I have had two Focus estates with a standard towbar fitted but it's not the towbar that gets detected by the rear parking sensors but the electrical socket if it is mounted behind the two 16mm. fixing bolts. If you have a fixed towbar fitted then just tell the fitter that you need the 13 pin or twin 7 pin sockets mounted under the bumper as this is what I had fitted and never had a problem with the rear parking sensors at all.
