Does anyone know how roof bars are fitted to. Ford Focus ST170? 3 door hatchback? We have just bought a box and bars but cannot work out how the bars attach at the back. Ford aren't able to tell us unless we purchase new bars from them at £124! Having already invested in a much larger tent we are reluctant to spend yet more money if the bars we have can be fitted. It seems all the information on line relates to 5 door cars

Do you know the make and model of the bars / feet you have bought?   I think there are three parts to the kit - the bars, the feet and the bit that joins them together.

Best to give Roofbox a call - they are very helpful (as I found out last week and got free replacement locks for our box) and if you need to purchase some part of the kit I think there's a 5% discount for UK Campsite members.

I think you will need a short roofline adapter kit, common on 3dr cars. If roof box can't help try halfrauds

hi im new to this site.so hello lol if you have bought the correct footing kit etc look at roof of the car. if you take the plastic covers off where the bars are meant attach to the roof of the car inside the hole there is silicone in it cut the centre out with knife and use a screwdriver to dig out the silicone and under it. and its concealing the fixing threads. I hope this helps you

It's a three door car, bit different to a standard five dr h/back, we are sorted now at last. Thanks for your message and enjoy the site :)
