Hi all
Just wanted your opinion on air bed or camp bed. Thinking of trying camp beds because i am sick of waking up on a half inflated bed or when my wife moves I go up and when I move she goes up. Been looking at the small camp beds at go outdoor £9.99 has any one got them and do they fit in bedrooms o.k? Any advice would be great thanks

Jambo10, the Go ones you mean, are they these? We were the same; sick of paying out for a new air bed and waking up with them half deflated, so we got four of these. I was a little bit undecided with some of the reviews, however all I will say is persevere! They nearly ended up going back after first attempt (practising at home) took best part of an hour to put the first one up, by the last one we'd got it down to seven minutes! However, all was well after a long drive down to Newquay, they went up within a couple of minutes each :) I reckon they just needed stretching out on the initial test attempt. We found them sooo comfy, and made a refreshing change not having to pump beds up every night. Definitely practise putting them up first though if you do get them!

We've got the GO £10 jobs - they fit well in the bedroom of our Icarus. The aluminium framed type (got ours from Aldi) are wider, longer and higher, and proved less convenient.

They are a bit of a pig to put together - I found a blunt rock peg useful for stretching the canvas over the end of the side poles, and for rotating the poles round so the holes for the feet are in the right place.

With a SIM on the top, getting a good night's sleep - too old and creaky now for SIM on it's own.

Neither. I prefer self inflating mattresses or roll up mattresses.

You don't get the roll problem with the Coleman's Comfort air bed

I've used the 4-pole camp bed and the higher 3 legged ones in our Vango Samara 600, I've found that you can only really get 1 in a 2-man pod. Putting 2 in is a squeeze. There are 3 bedrooms in the 600, the 2 kids have a pod each and hubby & I share the middle one.

At Cub camp us leaders use an Icarus 500, there are 2 of use in the tent and we each have a pod so its 1 bed in each. Plenty of room width-wise, length-wise its a little tight.

We have a vango 5m dlx extra large sim on top of a kampa dream xpress camping bd - it is so comfy...in fact I was testing out the equipment this afternoon in prep for our trip next week and my husband fell asleep on it! :o)

Ado, that looks lovely -although I haven't struck it lucky with our aero bed, ended up binning it, but I reckon I must have gotten a bad one. Yours looks delicious!
