Hi guys and gals

I am looking for some advice about the best sleeping gear to use if you are overweight/tall. Our current setup as weekend campers is an ancient cotton/rubber double airbed which has outlived 4 different flock inflatable king size beds! Its perfectly fine for short trips but it has a built in pillow which I don't really like and hubby is 6'3" so his feet hang right off the end.
I am drawn to the self inflating mats as its less obvious that your feet are hanging off if you are closer to the ground! However wasn't sure how they would stand up to our extra weight (we are 15st and 19st)
Does anyone have any tips?

Thanks all xx

I have a 7.5cm SIM and I weigh more than your hubby and I find it perfectly comfortable. OH is also tall and his feet hand over the end but as its so close to the floor he hardly notices.

Many thanks for the reassurance Moneypeni, I went and lay on one this morning in Towsure and it does seem to be pretty comfy! Haven't bought one yet as we are still debating whether to get a double or two singles (think the singles would give us more flexibility as we have a toddler and baby so not sure what the sleeping arrangements will be!)

I think we are going to get sims when finances allow. We are also debating doubles versus singles, but I think we are going to go with singles, as we are both fairly curvy people, and I think that will end up being wider than a double, and as you say just give more flexibility.
